Indonesia has the problem of poverty and unemployment. In Indonesia, one of
the efforts made to improve the effectiveness of poverty reduction and job creation is
the National Community Empowerment Program Mandiri. Once the program is
running, slightly more people who have a positive impact directly. The problems
discussed in this essay is to see firsthand how the public response to the PNPM-MP
visits of 3 variables, namely the perception, attitude and participation.
The research was conducted on sub Simanindo Samoisr District. The total
population in this study are all people who receive the program and felt the direct
impact of the program and that the samples in this study were 98 people and the
instrument used was a questionnaire. The method used is descriptive method. These
results are supported by interviews and field observations. Data obtained from this
study are tabulated in a single table and then analyzed.
Based on the research and data analysis, it can be seen that the public
response to the National Program for Community Empowerment Rural Self is
positive. This can be seen from the three variables that is the perception, attitude and
participation. Based on the results of these three variables, the average public
response to PMPN-MP is positive, where the value is 0.91 for the perception, attitude
and participation with a value of 1 with a value of 0.94
