Pengaruh Program Life Skill Yayasan Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Binjai Terhadap Keberfungsian Sosial Anak Asuh
Abstract
The problem of unemployment in Indonesia is currently very poor condition.
Indonesia ranks 133 in terms of unemployment rates in the world. Life skills program
is a good effort in helping the government to reduce unemployment. One is the
foundation of Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah Binjai that implement these programs to foster
children. The aim is to improve the skills, knowledge and attitudes of citizens to study
in certain occupations according to their talents, they would get the benefit for the
ability to work / seek independent that can be equipped to improve the quality of life.
Background of these two authors are interested to conduct research yan entitled
"Influence Life Skill Program on Functionality of Foster Children. "
This research is an explanation study, namely by test whether one of variable
has or not association to the other ones. In order to test the influence, the writer
applies the data product moment analysis and coefficient determination. This research
was conducted at Yayasan Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Binjai Jalan Jenderal Ahmad
Yani No. 35 Binjai with the number of population is 20 persons.
Based on the calculation, it obtain rxy = 0.518 or in another word the
correlation coefficient is positive means the increasing of one variable will followed
by the increasing of another variable. The results of calculation through hypothesis
test on product moment correlation coefficient in significant level of 5% (0.444) for
n = 20 indicates that r-calculated is bigger than r-table or 0.518 > 0.444. Therefore,
the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the null hypothesis is rejected means there
is an influence of the life skill program at Yayasan Al Jam’iyatul Washliyah Binjai to
the social Functioning of the cared child. Based on the Bungin term, the correlation
coefficient r for 0.518 means that the influence of Life Skill Program at Yayasan Al
Jam’iyatul Binjai to the social functioning of the cared child has a robust positive
relationship. The calculation of coefficient determination to prove the hypothesis is
26.8%.
