dc.description.abstract | Reasoning is a very important thinking activity throughout human life. The USU General Reasoning Test (U-GRT) is a test tool developed by the University of North Sumatera that functions to measure a person's level of reasoning. UGR-T is intended for selection purposes for high school and undergraduate education groups. The U-GRT has been tested for feasibility as a test tool, however, the available data are only about 200 subjects in the age range of 25-40 years. Meanwhile, data are needed for younger age groups, because U- GRT is intended for the productive age group starting from 17 years old. Therefore, further evaluation is needed to obtain more varied and more numerous data. This study attempts to provide empirical evidence that the U-GRT, especially the Word Meanings subtest, is appropriate to be used as a selection tool for USU's master's degree entry. The sample used in this study were 215 Class XII students of SMA Negeri in Binjai. The results showed that the U-GRT proved valid and reliable as a test tool. | en_US |
