dc.description.abstractJob satisfaction and organizational commitment can improve organizational citizenship behavior. The purpose of this study is to find out influence of job satisfaction and organizational commitment to organizational citizenship behavior among nurses at Herna Hospital Medan. Measuring tool of this study was organizational citizenship behavior scale based on the theory of Organ (1988), job satisfaction scale based on the theory of Spector (1997), and organizational commitment scale based on the theory of Mowday, Steers, and Porter (1982). This study was involved 159 nurses at Herna Hospital Medan. The results showed that job satisfaction and organizational commitment influenced of organizational citizenship behavior (R=0.477, R2=0.227, F=22.958; p<0.01). It means, job satisfaction and organizational commitment contributed to organizational citizenship behavior. Meanwhile, organizational commitment has a greater contribution to organizational citizenship behavior (r square change=0.225) than job satisfaction (r square change=0.047). Implications of this study that management of hospital are expected to evaluate the factors that influence the job satisfaction among nurses and retain organizational commitment among nurses to improve the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses.en_US
