dc.description.abstract | Nurses' performance is the achievement in implementing nursing care in a hospital. An optimal nursing care is needed supporting from the management of a hospital such as creating good quality of work life for nurses. Quality of work life according to Cascio (2003) is the employee perception about their mentally and physically prosperity during work. The objective of the research is to analyze the relationship between quality of work life (of employees' participation, appropriate compensation, work security, job safety, sense of pride for institution, career development, available facilities, conflict settlement, and communication) with nurses' performance at Tanjung Pura General Hospital in 2014. The research used analytic survey method. The population were 82 nurse. Data was taken by questionnaires and using Rank Spearman correlation test. The result of the research showed that there was significant correlation between quality of work life with nurses ' performance with p value = 0,001 and r value = 0,810. It is recommended that the management of the hospital to increase the quality of nurses' work life in order to improve their performance by involved nurses in decision making process and duty application in the room, supply working environment safety which proper to health standarization, the application of carrier level system to nurses, supply health maintenance facility to nurses and give the opportunity to nurses in order to solve their problem openly and honestly. | en_US |
