| dc.description.abstract | A health effort including improvement, prevention, treatment and
recovery, has been integrally and comprehensively implemented in the form of
Posyandu (Integrated Health Service Post). In Aceh Singkil District, the number
of active Posyandu is 43%, active cadres are 53.8%, and the community
participation in the Posyandu activities has not reached the target of 80% yet.
The purpose of this survey with explanatory research method is to analyze
the influence of the cadres' characteristics such as age, material status, education,
occupation, income, reward, length of service as cadre, and the influence of
cadres' development such as training, supervision and evaluation as well as the
influence of cadres' behavior including knowledge and attitude. The data obtained
were analyzed through logistic regression test.
The result of study shows that cadres' behavior is the most dominant
variable that influences the role of Posyandu cadres in Aceh Singkil District,
especially the variable of attitude. Statistically, there is a significant influence with
the value of p = 0.000 < 0.05 and the Exp (P) = 54.474. The variable which has a
very small influence on the role of Posyandu cadres in Aceh Singkil District is the
cadres' characteristics, especially the variables of marital status with the value of
p = 0.880 > 0.05 and the Exp (P) of 1.211.
It is suggested that the Head of Health Service request the Head of District
to involve the Muspida and Muspika (council for sub-district level officials) and
Perangkat Desa (village apparatus) to promote the Posyandu activities, especially
to motivate the cadres and make the community aware and understand more about
the importance of Posyandu. The Head of Puskesmas (Community Health Center)
is suggested to follow some training on supervision and gradual evaluation of the
Posyandu activities that they can motivate the cadres to ask the community to play
