Hubungan Penerapan Kesehatan dan Keselamatan Kerja Rumah Sakit (K3RS) dalam Upaya Pengendalian Kecelakaan Kerja di Rumah Sakit Umum Tanjung Pura Tahun 2010

Abstract

Hospital is a facility to implement a health service activity whose staff is potentially exposed to both infectious diseases and occupational accident. Each staff has the right to have her occupational health and safety protected to prevent the risk resulted from the occupational incident at the hospital. The purpose of this study with cross-sectional design was to find out the cases of occupational incident and to analyze the relationship between the application of occupational health and safety and the occupational incident. Samples for this study were 77 nurses who were selected through total sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed through univariate and bivari'ate analysis and Chi-square test. The result of study showed that the majority of occupational incident experienced by the nurses was to unintentionally stab or wound their fingers by syringe and broken ampoule. At level of confidence of 95%, it was found out that there was a relationship between the application of occupational safety and occupati'onal accident w1'th p value = 0.01 and there was a relatlonship between the control of hazard I health promotion and of occupational accident with p value = 0,01. Therefore, it could be concluded that there was a significant relationship between the prevention of danger and the health, and the health accidents. The management of Ta,ijung Pura General Hospital is suggested to improve the application of occupational health and safety to avoid the occupational accident. The nurses working in the Emergency Room of Tanjung Pura General Hospital should be careful and never forget to wear the handscoon on duty to avoid the occupational accident
