Determinan Kinerja Kader Posyandu dalam Menuju Revitalisasi Posyandu di Kecamatan Pantai Labu Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Revitalization is an attempt to reactivate the area with in-active integrated health centers or to control and develop an area which is expected to be able to improve the quality of life, nutrient status,and health level of the local community. The attempt to revitalize the integrated health center needs the active cadres with good performance in implementing all of the intergrated health center's activities. Pantai labu Sub-district has currently 54 active cadres out of the87 cadres of integrated health center. The purpose of this surfey study with cross-sectional approach was to analyze the

performance determinant of the cardes of intergrated health center in Pantai Labu sub- district,Deli Serdang District 2009. The population of this study was all of the 54 active

cadres of intergrated health center and all of them were selected to be the samples of the study. The Primari data for this study were obtained through studying the documents available in the Deli Serdang District Health Office and Pantai Labu Health center. The data optained were analyzed through Chi-square and multiple linear regression tests at the level of confidence of 95%. The result of this study showed that there were sign.ificant relationships between education (p = 0.004) and motivation (p = 0.015) and the performance of the cadres of intergrated health center in Pantai Labu Sub- district, Deli Serdang District. The variables of age (p n = 0.160) and occupation (p = o.114) did not show any relationship with the performance of the cadres of intergrated health center in Pantai Labu Sub-district, Deli Serdang District. The result of multiple linear regression test showed that education (P = 0.495; p = 0.009) and motivation (P =0.489: p = 0.002) were the most influencing variables on the performance of the cadres of intergrated health center in Pantai Labu Sub-district. The Head of Pantai Labu Subdistrict Health Center should accommodate and empower all the cardes of integrated health center in each activity of Health Center and organize a competition to select the best cadres of integrated health center. As an appreciation for the cadres of intergrated health· center, the village administration should be more intent in encouraging the cadres of intergrated health center to participate in all social activivities organized in Pantai Labu Sub-district
