Pengaruh Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu Pasangan Usia Subur terhadap Keikutsertaan dalam Pemeriksaan Inspeksi Visual dengan Asam Acetat (IVA) di Desa Bandar Khalifah Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan Kabupaten Deli Serdang Tahun 2012

Abstract

Visual inspection with acetic acid (IV A) test is the one implemented to observe the cervix which has been given 3 - 5% acetic acid by means of inspekulo seen through the naked-eye vision. The purpose of this case control study was to analyze the influence of the knowledge and attitude of the mothers in productive age on their participation in the visual inspection with acetic acid (!VA) through case control study. The population of this study was all of the 54 mothers in productive age doing the IVA (case) test and 64 mothers in productive age who did not do the IVA test (control) in Dusun IV, Desa Bandar Khalifah, Percut Sei Tuan Subdistrict with the final samples of 50 persons for the case group and the control respectively. The data obtained were analyzed through univariate and bivariate analysis. The result of this study showed that there was asignificant influence between the knowledge of the mothers in productive age and their participation in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test with p = 0.026 (OR = 2.50) which means that the mothers participating in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test had a chance to have knowledge 3 (three) times better than those who did not participate in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test. And the attitude of the mothers in productive age participating in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test also had an influence with p = 0.045 (OR = 2.26) which means that the mothers participating in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test had a chance to have attitude 2 (two) times better than those who did not participate in the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test. The mothers are expected to improve their awareness and intention or desire in utilizing the visual inspection with acetic acid (IVA) test service, and the Head of Village is expected to approach the health workers to cooperate in providing trainings the cadres, rural midwives, and the Chair of PKK team in terms of socializing the information about early detection of cervical cancer and utilizing the services provided by the IMS and IVA clinic in the Puskesmas (Community Health Center)

Inspeksi visual dengan asam asetat (IV A) adalah suatu pemeriksaan untuk mengamati leher rahim yang telah diolesi asam asetat/ cuka 3-5% secara inspekulo dapat dilihat dengan mata telanjang sebagai upaya deteksi dini kanker leher rahim. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan dan sikap ibu PUS terhadap keikutsertaan dalam pemeriksaan IV A dengan jenis penelitian kasus kontrol (case control). Populasi adalah semua ibu pasangan usia subur yang melaksanakan IV A (case) sebanyak 54 orang, dan yang tidak melakukan IV A (control) sebanyak 64 orang di Dusun IV Desa Bandar Khalifah Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, dengan jumlah sampel akhir berjumlah 50 orang untuk masing-masing kelompok kasus dan kontrol. Analisis data yaitu univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara pengetahuan ibu PUS dengan keikutsertaan dalam pemeriksaan IV A. Dengan nilai p=0,026 (OR=2,50), artinya ibu yang mengikuti IV A berpeluang 3 kali mempunyai pengetahuan baik dibandingkan dengan ibu yang tidak memeriksakan. Dan ada pengaruh sikap ibu PUS yang ikut pemeriksaan IV A. Dengan nilai p=0,045(OR=2,26), artinya ibu yang mengikuti IVA berpeluang 2 kali mempunyai sikap baik dibandingkan ibu yang tidak memeriksakan. Diharapkan kepada Ibu untuk meningkatkan kesadaran, juga kemauan dalam pemanfaatan pelayanan IV A, dan kepala Desa agar melakukan pendekatan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk dapat bekerja sama dalam memberikan pelatihan kepada kader, bidan desa, dan ibu ketua penggerak PKK dalam hal penyebarluasan informasi deteksi dini kanker leher rahim, serta dapat memanfaatkan pelayanan klinik IV A dan IMS yang ada di Puskesmas
