| dc.description.abstract | This study aims at examining 1) level of noise 2) characteristic of noise and 3)
the attempts to prevent the noise done by the management of PT NUSIRA Medan. This
study uses a descriptive analysis which is directly carried out when measuring the object
by using a digital Extech Noise Level Measuring Device with measuring of 40 - 130 dB
and accuracy of t 2 dB @94 dB at the frequency of 1000 Hz with the A and C hearing
filter type.
The result of study reveals that the management of PT NUSIRA does not
understand about noise and the impact it causes that the attempt to prevent the noise is
not obvious in PT NUSIRA although the result of measurement reveals that t 67 Yo of
working environment of the factory has a noise level of exceeding predetermined limit
with noise characteristics of impulsive, broad spectrum continuity, ruutow spectrum
continuity and intermittent. This kind of noise characteristic can cause the incidence of
NIHL, Temporary Auditory, Non Psychological Auditory and Physiological Auditory.
It is suggested that the management of PT NUSIRA need 1) to understand
health promotion and hearing conservation, 2) to regularly measure noise intensity, 3) to
regulady measure the audiometry of employees, 4) to control noise resources, and 5) to
control and make sure that each employee entering factory area uses (wears; earmuff

| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: l) Tingkat kebisingan 2 )
Karakteristik kebisingan 3 ) Upaya penanggulangannya oleh pimpinan termasuk
manajemen PT.NUSIRA Medan. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan analisa
deskriptip langsung pengukuran pada objek dengan menggunakan alat pengukuran
Noise Level merk Extech jenis digital dengan kapasitas ukur 40 - 130 dB dan ketelitian
t 2 dB @ 94 dB pada frekuensi 1000 Hz dengan jenis tipe filter pendengaran A dan C.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan batrwa manajemen PT NUSIRA tidak memahami
tentang kebisingan dan akibat yang akan ditimbulkannya, sehingga di PT NUSIRA tidak
ada upaya penanggulangannya meskipun dari hasil pengukuran temyata * 67 o/o dari
lingkungan keda pabrik berada pada kondisi tingkat kebisingan melebihi Nilai Ambang
Batas (NAB) dengan karakteristik kebisingan yang terjadi yaitu impulsif, kontinu
spektrum luas, kontinu spektrum sempit dan intermitten. Karakteristik kebisingan jenis
ini dapat menimbulkan NIHL, Auditori temporer, Non Auditori Psikologis dan Auditori
Fisiologis
Disarankan untuk PT.NUSIRA l) Pimpinan dan manajemen perusahaan perlu
memahami promosi kesehatan dan konservasi pendengaran 2) Melakukan pengukuran
intensitas kebisingan secara teratur. 3) Melakukan pengukuran audiometri karyawan
secara teratur.4) Perlu pengendalian sumber kebisingan.5) Pemakaian APP earmuffatau
sejenisnya untuk setiap orang yang memasuki areal pabrik | en_US |
