dc.description.abstractThe research on the manufacture of the brake lining motorcycle. Mixing is done with the composition of the hazelnut shell powder, nylon yarn, and activated carbon by 70%, 75%, 80% 85 %, dan 90 % of the total mass, whereas polyurethane adhesive used 30%, 25%, 20%, 15%, dan 10 % of the total mass. From the results of tests performed, with increasing % (quantity) hazelnut shell powder and reduced adhesive may increase the water absorption and worns out, whereas the density, hardness, flexural strength tends to decrease. Thermal testing is done by turns DTA transition temperature obtained at a temperature of 540 C to $10 C, as well as qualitative observations using SEM showed clusters ‘grain, grain boundaries, and vacancies will be seen more clearly.en_US
