dc.description.abstractResearch with the title "Son of Daily Behavior Sumatran Orangutan (Pongo abelii) Due to Human Activities in the presence of Observation Centre for Orangutan Sumatra, Bukit Lawang, Gunung Leuser National Park", carried out for approximately five months using the Focal Animal Sampling - Instantaneous - Ad Lubitum against two individual children Orangutan Bukit Lawang (Sumi and Wati). The data were analyzed descriptively, ie to display the data in tables and figures and also by using the software Statistics Programme for Scientific and Social Science (SPSS) 16.0 for Windows, by non-test Mann-Whitney parametic against two individual children orangutans. Both target the individual child's daily behavior of orangutans have the different. The most important difference is caused by differences in age far enough, Sumi Wati aged 4 months and 4 years old. Daily behavioral data obtained for young orangutan Sumi is 22.44% for the rest, 21.81% for traveling, 0.77% for a meal, 51.89% for social, 3.09% for autoplay, 0.00% for Other activities such as nesting and 63.79% for carrying. While the daily behavioral data obtained for Wati is yag is 11.79% for the rest, 31.62% for traveling, 10.54% for the meal, 10.95% for the social, 34.65% for autoplay, 0.45% for Other activities such as nesting and 0.69% for carrying. From the daily behavior of the observed and found the existence of deviant behavior, it is possible indirectly associated with human activities in the area of Bukit Lawang ecotourism, such as junk food selection behavior and food selection behavior of visitors / tourists (fruits like oranges, watermelon, pineapple, banana).en_US
