Isolation of the attarasa leaves [Litsea cubeba (Lour.) Pers.] essential oil has been
research by distillation with stahl instrument and and antibacterial activity test with
agar diffusion method. Attarasa oil on concentrations 10 %v/v forming zone of
transparent againts bacteria Escherichia coli, Shigella dan Staphylococcus aureus with
diameters respectively 7,33; 7,88 and 8,17 mm, while on concentrations15% v/v
forming zone on transparent to bacteria Escherichia coli, Shigella dan Staphylococcus
aureus with diameters respectively 6,66; 7,33 and 10 mm. edible film has made from
cassava starch (4% b/b) with glycerol (1% b/b) as plasticizer and incorporated attarasa
leaves essential oil (1,5% v/b) and antibacterial activity test with agar diffusion
method. Edible film showed zone of transparent on bacteria culture Escherichia coli
(7,8mm), Shigella (7mm) but on bacteria culture Staphylococcus aureus did not show
inhibition zone. Film of cassava starch-essential oil application to warp carp fish.
Density of isolat cell of bacterium caunted by Standart Plate Count (SPC) method.
Perception done on day 1, 3, 5 dan 7 indicating that film of cassava starch-essential oil
can inhibition growth of colony bacterium of carp fish which is keep in refrigerator.
