Kultur Embrio Jeruk Keprok (Citrus nobilis Lour) pada Media MS dengan Perlakuan BAP

Abstract

Embryo culture of keprok orange (Citrus nobilis Lour.) on MS medium with BAP treatments, has been done in Plant Tissue Culture Laboratory of Biology Department at FMIPA USU from October until December 2010. The objective of the research was to determine the best concentrations BAP on the growth of embryo culture keprok orange (Citrus nobilis Lour.) on MS medium. This research design with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) non factorial with 5 levels of concentrations BAP (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5) ppm. The result show that type of growth culture is planlet; BAP treatments gave the significant influences for all variable exept number of shoots; Medium with BAP 2 ppm gave the best in increasing the number of shoots, number of leaves and planlet’s weight; All variable gave positive respons in medium without BAP; All root tissues were completed from first week of the culture.
