Organizational success cannot be separated from the role of human resources in the organization. However, in some industries, retaining employees is not easy. This makes some industries have high turnover and turnover intention. One of the industries with high turnover and turnover intention is retail. One of the companies engaged in retail and experiencing high turnover and turnover intention is PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (Alfamart). The high level of turnover and turnover intention itself shows that there are still many employees with low organizational commitment. Organizational commitment can be influenced by factors that have an indirect role in influencing organizational commitment. These factors are organizational communication climate and employee empowerment. Organizational communication climate and employee empowerment can affect employee job satisfaction, where employee job satisfaction can affect employee commitment to the organization. Thus, this research was conducted to determine the effect of organizational communication climate and employee empowerment on organizational commitment mediated by job satisfaction. This research was conducted on employees of PT. Sumber Alfaria Trijaya (Alfamart) in North Sumatra, amounting to 2,886 people as the research population, and with a sample of 352 employees. The data were collected using four scales as a data collection method. The four scales are organizational commitment scale, organizational communication climate scale, employee empowerment scale, and job satisfaction scale. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) data analysis technique. The results show that there are direct and indirect effects of organizational communication climate and employee empowerment on organizational commitment.
