Aluminum smelting electroliysis implement process that have been found by
Hall-Heroult. This process requires the anode, cathode and electrolyte solution as
the raw material alumina smelter in the can from bauxite refining. in this process
of hydrogen fluoride gas (HF) be so byproduct after carbon dioxide (CO2), and
this process takes place every time. so that the resulting gas HF always there. HF
gas produced is the result of the reaction between the carbon anode chlorine
cliorite (Na3AlF6).HF gas is reacted with the alumina which serves as adsorbent
inside the reactor by regulating the flow of alumina to the gas HF, This is done to
reduce or even eliminate HF gas coming out of the chimney. if HF gas that comes
out in a quantity that many will cause poisoning and even death.HF to determine
levels of gas coming out of the chimney.necessary to analyze the efficiency of gas
absorption by the alumina HF. in this case, the efficiency of absorption in PT
Indonesia AsahanAluminium (Persero) is optimal. This is evidenced from the
results of absorption, respectively for 99.85% and 99.86% with gas concentration
HF disposed of 0.33 mg/Nm3 and 0.20 mg/Nm3.
