dc.description.abstract | This research was conducted with the scale of laboratory. The object of this research was fresh roots of galangal. The treatment done was to isolate the essential oil of the galangal root through steam distillation and then its chemical components were analyzed through Mass Spectrometry- Gas Chromatography. The result of gas Chromatography showed 19 apexes meaning that the essentialia of the galangal root contained l9 chemical components. The result of Mass Spectrometry oily showed l4 out of the 19 chemical components analyzed (identified) based on the highest percentage. The 5 chemical components of essential oil with highest percentage were: etil p- metoksisinamat (50,19%), 2-acid propenoate 3-phenil esther (1,72%), hexadecane (8,67%), 3- acid propenoate- 3(3-metoksi phenil) etil esther (1,72%), and delta 3-karen (1,60%o) and the others were of the rather low percentage. | en_US |
