dc.description.abstractScreening of marine bacteria producing antimicrobial was done. Thirty-six potential isolates shown antimicrobial activity inhibition zone around colony. Antagonistic assay showed that three isolates SB5, B03 and B04 inhibited growth of Staphylococcus aureus, Vibrio sp.,and Candida albicans with inhibition zone of 31 mm; 27,9 mm; 26 mm respectively. Ethyl acetate extract had antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, Eschericia coli, Bacillus subtilis, while n-hexane extract did not show antimicrobial activity against S. aureus, E. coli, B. subtilis. Antimicrobial activity against C. albicans was showed by methanol extract of B04, ethyl acetate extract of SB5 and B03, and n-hexane of SB5 at high concentration. Ethyl acetate extract of B04 and methanol, ethyl acetate, n- hexane extract of SB5 showed antimicrobial activity against Vibrio sp. Ethyl acetate extract of SB5 had antimicrobial activity against gram positive bacteria, gram negative bacteria and yeast.en_US
