This study aimed to know the structure of vegetation and potency in reforesting
the Aek Nauli Forest of Simalungun. The research was conducted in January
2011 with compartment line. It was found 36 families and 106 sorts of tree
spreading since the time of growth as seeding, stake, post and trees on upper and
lower forest. It was found on upper forest noted 16 families and it was 34 types,
the upper secondary forest noted 29 families. The diversity in plant existed on Aek
Nauli forest is classified into about moderate through high rate. On loner
secondary forest with seeding phase is dominated by Quercus sp, stake of Eugenia
post Eugenia sp, and tree E susingariana K. et V. On upper primary forest as
on seeding rate is dominated by Eugenia sp, stake of Eugenia sp, post Persea
adoratisima, and tee F. grossularoides. On upper secondary forest with seeding
phase is dominated by Alseodapne sp, stake A. glabra, post R. Theismanns Mig,
and tree R. theysmanii Mig. The similarity in its type Between the upper primary
forest with the upper secondary forest seen on tree and pole is not in resemble, for
the sort of pile and seedling not in resemble anymore. For the upper primary
forest the classification of tree is not resemble anymore compared to the lower
secondary forest, whereas for the pile is seen not resemble, still for the pile und
seedling is so not resemble. The upper secondary forest seen om the tree so far
from resemble compared to the lower secondary forest, and for the pole, pile, and
seedling is not resemble. The destroy of vegetation in secondary forests highly
noted as compared to the destroy of primary forest for found occurrence reducing
its member of trees ha” about 402% on secondary forest. This is also indicated
in shortage closing of entry on secondary forest compared to the primary forest
Vegetation stratification is included in stratum A, B,C. D, and E.
