dc.description.abstractHas conducted research Esterification Fatty Acid Ethyl Ester distillate become the catalyst FeCl3. The purpose of this study is to utilize fatty acid distillate as a raw material for making biodiesel esterification process, studied the effects of time and the mole ratio between the fatty acid distillate with ethanal and the influence of the concentration of catalyst in the esterification process. Through this study found that the best composition to convert free fatty acids in triglycerides into ethyl esters at the optimum time of 180 minutes with a mole ratio between the fatty acid distillate is 1: 6 and catalyst concentration of 8%.en_US
