Unsur Intrinsik dalam Novel To Live 《活着》Karya Yu Hua (余华): Analisis Sruktural

Abstract

The title of this research is ”Intrinsic Element On Novel To Live By Yu Hua: Structural Analysis”. In this research analyzed intrinsic elements of theme, characters, plot, background, and point of view which contained in novel To Live. The theory author used in analyzing intrinsic elements is general structural theory. This research use descriptive method which is documentation analysis. The source data obtained from the novel itself and from some books of structural theory. The purpose of this study is to describe the intrinsic elements found in the novel To Live. The theme contained in this novel is about the struggle of life. The characters contained in this novel are Fugui, Jiazhen, Fugui’s father, Fugui’s mother, Long Er, Fengxia, Quan Tua, Cunsheng, Youqing, and Wan Erxi. This novel uses the backward plot. The place background contained in this novel is a village in the Country of China. The point of view used in this novel is the first person point of view as a side character.

Penelitian ini berjudul ”Unsur Intrinsik Pada Novel To Live Karya Yu Hua: Analisis Struktural”. Dalam skripsi ini dianalisis unsur intrinsik tema, tokoh, alur, latar, dan sudut pandang yang terdapat dalam novel To Live. Teori yang digunakan dalam menganalisis unsur intrinsik tersebut adalah teori struktural secara umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif yaitu analisis dokumentasi. Sumber data diperoleh dari novel itu sendiri dan dari beberapa buku teori struktural. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan unsur intrinsik yang terdapat pada novel To Live. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa hasil analisis. Tema yang terdapat dalam novel ini adalah tentang perjuangan hidup. Tokoh yang terdapat di dalam novel ini yaituFugui, Jiazhen, Ayah Fugui, Ibu Fugui, Long Er, Fengxia, Quan Tua, Cunsheng, Youqing, dan Wan Erxi. Alur novel ini menggunakan alur mundur. Latar tempat di dalam novel ini adalah di sebuah desa di negara Cina. Sudut pandang yang digunakan dalam novel ini adalah sudut pandang orang pertama sebagai pelaku sampingan.
