Dinas Pendapatan Daerah Kota Medan is strongly influenced by the role of
Leadership, Training and Development, and Promotion to the work discipline.
The problem formulation in this research is:(]). How far the influence of leadership,
training and development and promotion to the work discipline of civil servant?
(2). How far the influence of job orienttion and employee orientation to the
leadership in Local Income office of Medan.
The theory applied are Human resources management theory, which linked
with leadership, training and development, promotion and work discipline.
The research use the survey approach method. This research is kind of
description quantitative and emphasize explanation. Number of population are 350
and adopted sample are 88. Data collection method with interview, questioner, and
documentation study. To answer the hypothesis I and II the data analysis applied
multiple linear regression.
The results of research indicates that totally and partially, there is a positive
and significant influence between leadership, training, development and promotion to
the work discipline at the Local Income Office of Medan. It means that each policyt
made by organization in order to increase the job discipline of civil servant at Local
Income Office of Medan ifnluenced by the role of leadership, training, development
and promotion. Simultaneously, there are positive and significant influence between
job orientation and employee orientation to the leadership. Partially, the variable of
job orientation has a dominant influence to the leadership than the orientation of
employee.
The conclusion of this research are (1). Leadership, training development,
and promotion simultaneously influence the work discipline. (2). Job orientation and
employee orientation simultaneously influence the leadership.
