    Abstract
    Library as an institution plays a role in developing students' reading interest. Library should strive to create situations and conditions in its environment that highly help the enthusiasm for reading of library users. The objective of this research is to find out the efforts of the Petatal National Private High School library in increasing students' reading interest. This is a qualitative descriptive research. Data collection techniques employed in this research are interview, observation and documentation. Determination of informants is carried out by purposive sampling, which consisted of school principals, librarians and students of year X, XI, XII. Research data are analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. Data testing uses triangulation, namely source triangulation, technical triangulation, and time triangulation. The research results are viewed from aspects of the library in the school environment which includes the arrangement of the library building, the arrangement of library space, the management of library collections, the location of the library, the lighting in the library, the temperature and humidity, and the decoration of the school library. It can be concluded, from the results of a review of aspects of the library, that the efforts of the Petatal National Private High School library in increasing students' reading interest are in accordance with the aspects of the guidelines set based on research that reviews libraries in the school environment according to Sinaga (2018).
