dc.description.abstract | Water is an important requirement in human living, availability of water should
always be well fixed in households, offices, public facilities or industries. This led
to the role of water storage to be important to ensure the availability of water
every time Mechanisms measuring water levels are automatically required to keep
availability of this water. One of them is by making the water level sensors are fed
back to the water pump filling the water tank. Variable resistor that is the type
trimer potentiometer (trimpot) multiturn can be used as a sensor element which
changes the height of the water will turn a knob or trimer variable resistor. This
will produce a voltage change which is the analog input to the ADC 8 bit 0804
type. Digital output of the ADC will be entered into the port of AT89S52
microcontroller is further processed to appear as the water levels and conditions of
the water pump on a 16 x 2 LCD display type M1632. The circuit is also equipped
with a water pump life and death of the microcontroller is set to die if the pump
tank is almost full and alive again when tank is almost empty. The results of
equipment testing demonstrates that this equipment has been able to show the
height of water in a storage tank of LCD displays with the same actual situation as
