dc.description.abstractPulp quality that produces in pulp (craft) production process can be influenced by some factors, among them are kappa number and brightness. Big or small kappa number and brightness influenced by consistency that used for bleaching process. The aim of kappa number analyst is to know the proportional of lignin still edge after bleaching process after digester. To know the lignin proportional done with titration which its oxidation principle edge lignin in pulp with KMnO4. The instrument be used to measure brightness of pulp in PT. Toba Pulp Lestari, Tbk-Porsea is ELREPHO instrument. The first sample of kappa number is 6 and brightness is 42,16 where with consistency 0,03 it’s gotten kappa number 3,85 and brightness 48,13. Whereas in high consistency 0,085 getting kappa number 3,04 and brightness 56,33. So, if the consistency that used low it will be gotten the high kappa number and small brightness, whereas if in high consistency, it will be gotten the small kappa number and high brightness.en_US
