    Abstract
    Hydrogen gas (H2) is the most abundant element in the universe with a percentage ofabout 75% of the total mass of the element in the universe. Hydrogen gas is colorless, odorless and flammable. Because of hydrogen gas is flammable then it can be used as a fuel source and can be a major component in the manufacture of hot-air balloon as hydrogen is the lightest element. then in conclusion of that, hydrogen gas detector is needed for detection equipment for some system that work with using hydrogen gasses. Hydrogen gas detector is designed using Arduino Uno R3 microcontroller. The microcontroller ATmega16 is used as a source of data processing given input of sensor-based MQ-8 with a 10-bit data processing from Analog to Digital Converter (ADC). The sensor MQ 8 is stored in a storage tube gas volume of 1,2 liters as place to accommodate the gas to be measured. Temperature is measured using a thermometer and pressure were measured using a pressure gauge. Measurable levels of gas concentration in the gas detector is expressed in units of parts per million (ppm). The PPM unit expressing the concentration of one part per million parts of gas of the total gas in a particular space or volume. This tool can be used to perform measurements of hydrogen gas levels and detect gas leaks in a system with the range to detect hydrogen gas concentration of 677 ppm to 2783 ppm with a sensitivity of 0,717 Volt / ppm and had an average measurement error of 66 ppm.
