    Abstract
Cavitation is the phenomenon of phase change from liquid to vapor in the flowing fluid. The changi can be toutid by the decrease of pressure and the intease of -temperahre. Tie indication of cattitation in pump is the incidents of noise, high vibiation and the vapor bubbles. The ffict of cavitation is decrease in performance and failure of pump components. In this research, the capacity to observe the Jlow pattirn was iirted, and,-in order to lmow the incidents of parameter cavitation, the -pump vibration such as the acceleration derivative (ierk) in the pump housing was measured- The measurement was done by using the jerk sensor which was assembled by using module accelerometer- This module accelerometer is functione_d--to change the acileration signal to electric tension and is dffirentiated as a dffirenttator. This module detects the movement in three directions: axial, vertical and horizontal simultaneously and an air released is provided. In order to display the result of measurentent, Digital Storage Oscilloscope (DSO Quad) is used. This research showed that the iibration signal in the pump is increase in low capacity which was indicatedwith the increase of the amplitude and occurred in the turbulence condition Based on the NPSH measurement, Reynolds number and the characteristics of acceleration derivatives vibration (jerk) indicated the highest number on the turbulence position which indicated the incidents of cavitation to the mial if more than 4880 -rrr/tt, to the vertical if more than 1585 m/s3 and to the horizontal if more than 7738 nt/s3.
