Identification has been made of synthetic dyes contained in the powder drink
orange flavor in Chromatography Paper at the Center for Food and Drug
Administration. Solvents are used to determine the synthesis of dyes is the ratio of
the volume of isobutanol: ethanol: water is 3: 2: 2 and trisodium as elution and
with Methilen Yellow, Ponceau 4 R, Tartrazine, and Yellow FCF / Sunset Yellow
as a solution Baku. From the results of the analysis obtained dye Sunset Yellow
and Tartrazine in orange-flavored powder drinks. From the results of this analysis
in mind that Sunset Yellow and Tartrazine is a synthetic dye that is allowed for
food and beverages. So the orange flavored powder drink had qualified for
consumption.
