dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted to analyze the factors affecting the level criminality in North Sumatra and to test the effectiveness of multiple linear regression method to analyze the incidence of criminality. The analysis showed that the number of poor people, the unemployment and amount of income simultaneously positive and significant impact on the well-being, which means that criminality level may be on the wane. Obtained coefficient of determination (R2) of 78,8% with a significant level 5%, which means that these variables influence the criminality while the remaining 21,2% is influenced by other factors.en_US
