dc.description.abstractRevenue basically becomes the problem in all regions although it has different intensity because of some factors which influence it. It is caused by investment and an attempt to broaden employment. Some factors which influence it are working capital, distance, the amount of catching, and the length of going out to sea. The objective of the research was to analyze the influence of exogenous variables on endogenous variables like revenue on working capital, distance, the amount of catching, and the length of going out to sea, catching, and while the waste of catching product had the influence on distance, the amount of catching, and the length of going out to sea. The research used comparative analysis, using primary and secondary data obtained from BPS (Central Bureau of Statistics) of North Sumatera. The data were analyzed by using multiple regression analysis. The result of hypothesis 1 showed that exogenous variables simultaneously had significant influence on endogen variables, while the result of hypothesis 2 showed that the variable of waste had positive influence on the amount of catching and the length of going out to sea, but it had negative and significant influence. It is recommended that the fishermen not add the length of going out to sea. Hypothesis 3 of value-added could be categorized as big opportunity to develop home industry business.en_US
