dc.description.abstractNowadays, non-linear load is increasingly used in industry or in households. The use of non-Iinear load such as Power Amplifier can cause harmonics disorder in the system. The phenomena of harmonics can cause sinusoidal wave to become non simtsoidal, especially in source curuent wcve. The amotmt of harmonics value which -- exceeds the limit can ccruse damage in the other electric equipment. Various attempts have been made to improve the quali4t of power and to minimize the harmonics by using harmonic fihers. One of them is Passive Single Tanedfilter which is used in this research. The resalt of filter design in this research was to dampen harmonics so that it could improve current harmonics caused by on-linean load. The resalt of the research showed that some odd-order harmonics had exceeded IEC harmonic stondnrd 6100A4-2; one af them was order 3-37. The result of the calculation showed that R-value : 0.26 8, L : 0.28 H, and c : 4.0283.10-5 F; all of them would be arranged in a series in order to reduce harmonics. The result of the simulation showed that they could ffictively reduce harmonic content from 75.8% to 9.72%.en_US
