Penentuan Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (Alb) dari Crude Palm Oil (Cpko) pada Pt. Agro Jaya Perdana Medan
Abstract
Oil yield from Palm Kernel are CPKO ( Crude Palm of Kernel Oil), in the CPKO
included there are fat, protein, fibre and water and some other component able to
influence the quality from the oil, one of the important parameter in determining the
quality of oil is sour content of free fat. High free fat acid in an oil can generate the
strange odor and easy to oxidase so that can cut short a period to keeping. Increase of
Rate ALB determined to start from moment palm kernel harvested until fruit produce by
the factory. From analysis result acid contents of fat which getting Palm of Kernel Oil on
21 - 25 January 2008 is 2,44 % up to 2.94 %, while standard quality of free fat acid which
is consisted in greeting of oil CPKO specified by PT. Agro Jaya Perdana is 5 %.
Becoming oil yielded in PT. Agro Jaya Perdana have fulfilled the standard of quality.
