dc.description.abstractFormaldehide is the preservative substance/material in medical and industries and hase very dengerous if using in foods. Identification of the formaldehide base on colours reaction by steam distilation and spektrofotometri UV 1700 in mangoes sweets have been done. The analyze result of mangoes sweets by colours reaction after steam distilation occurred colour changes from transparent to purple, so the sample contained formaldehide (+). The wave length of formaldehide 37 % as standard solution is 564.00 nm and absorbansi at 0.080. The wave length of the mangoes sweets is 567.60 nm and absorbansi at 0.140. The range wave length of the sample at 564.00 nm - 567.60 nm given the conclusion that mangoes sweets using formaldehide (+) as preservative material.en_US
