Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this riset was to determine the differences in weighting methods influence the value of each commodity in measuring the rate of inflation by using a modified Laspeyres formula and Paasche formulas, using price data Deli Serdang Regency, represented by the city Lubuk Pakam 2009 - 2010. With a modified method derived Laspeyres inflation for the year 2009 of 2.95 and in 2010 rose sharply by 11.38. While the inflation rate by the method of Paasche for 2009 is obtained at 1.38 and 0.98 for the year 2010.
