dc.description.abstractThe potential for someone to have mental disorder is relatively high. One (d. the forms of mental disorder is depression due to psychological pressure both fi-om outside and from wit fan the individual himse[/ It was found out that the number (~l patients who did 1101 reuse Putri Hijau Kesdam I/BB Hospital Medan increasedfi-om 59.3% in 2012 to 64.0% in 2013. The purpose of this explanatmy survey study conducted from April lo June 2014 was io analyze the influence of the factors of health care service provider and consumers on the revisiting of the patients suffering from depression at Mental Health Clinic, Putri Hijau Kesdam I/BB Hospital Medan. The population of this study was all of the 427 mental patients suffering from depression of mild and moderate categm):' who had visited the Mental Health Clinic, and 81 of them were selected to be the samples for this study through simple random sampling technique. The data for this study were obtained through quetionnaire-based inlerviews. The data obtained were analyzed through multiple logistic regression tests at a.=O. 05. The result (?/ this study showed thal, statistical(v, the factors of health care service provider (attitude of health workers, availability of medication and extension) and the factors of consumers (perpection on the disease, services, and clinical diagnosis) had positive and significant influence on revisiting Mental Health Clinic, Putri Hijau Kesdam I/BB Hospital Medan. The perception on the disease was the most influential variable on reuse. The management of Putri Hijau Kesdam I/BB Hospital Medan is suggested to (a) train or guide the doctors and nurse on communication techniques that the effective communication between doctors and patients at the Mental Health Clinic can be achieved, (b) provide a special councelors and special room for counseling services to guarantee patients· confidentiality and comfort, (c) provide opportunity for the nurses to attend training or seminar by turns in order to improve the service provided at the Mental Health Clinic, and (d)increase the role of Hospital Health Promotion to provide extention to the depressed mental patients individually, in small and big groupsen_US
