Peran Badan Narkotika Nasional (BNN) dalam Penanggulangan Kejahatan Narkoba di Kota Medan

Abstract

This research entitled, The Role of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in Combating Drug Crimes in Medan. This study aims to determine the role of knowing National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in the fight against narcotics in the North and to investigate Sumateran Obstacles National Narcotics Agency (BNN) in the fight against drug abuse in North Sumatra. The theory is relevant in this study; Role. The method used in this research is a case study method using descriptive qualitative method. Informants in this study were selected using data analysis techniques. Interviews were conducted with 4 (four) the informant that two key informants from the authorities BNN North Sumatra Province and two regular informant (a former drug users). The results showed that the role of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has been running well it is seen from the programs implemented by BNN to reduce the number of drug-related crimes in the city of Medan. BNN role is also very important for their educational programs conducted by BNN to the general public so that each element of the public to know about the dangers of drugs and the effects if it is involved in the drug problem. However, public awareness of the dangers of narkobapun is needed because if not of yourself every society, the suppression of drug crimes will have problems.
