Abstract

Scavengers is a community groupswho havethe problem of povertyis deep enough. Many of them arenot aware ofthe povertythat they face. Theytend to beresigned to thesituationwithout anymore effortto remove thestateof theproblem at hand.For those whoarethe most importantfood needscan be met. State ofresidencemake shiftimportantnot to heatandrain. This study used adescriptive research method witha population of49peoplescavengers. The datais takenfrom the existing population. Data were collectedthrough aquestionnaire, supported byinterviewsandobservations. This researchwas conducted at theEnvironmentalButsNaulivillageSunggalIXdistrict of MedanSunggal. Datawere analyzedby descriptivequalitativephenomenathattendency. Based on theresearch that has beendone, as a wholeit can be concludedthattherescavengerVillageNauliButsEnvironmentSubSunggalIXdistrict of MedanSunggalhelp inthe family economy. This was shown byan increase infamily income, good housing, foodfulfilledeven simpler,clothingthatmetalthoughpurchasedonlywhen needed, a good educationbecause of theawarenessofthe childas well asgood health.
