Stigma and discrimination against people with HIV and AIDS (ODHA) are
still common. Elimination of discrimination against people living with HIV is not
easy, we must first understand the factors that cause a person to discriminate. Live
daily with HIV-positive status as very heavy. Feelings such as feeling useless, no
hope, fear, sadness, anger, springing instantly. purpose of research is to determine the
family's response to people with HIV and AIDS (ODHA) women beneficiaries
Rumah Singgah Caritas Pengembangan Sosial Ekonomi Medan.
This study classified the type of descriptive research, the research accurately
describe the properties of a state of the subject or the object. In this study, data
analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique using a quantitative
approach to describe the results of research and ntuk analyze the data obtained from
the study. To analyze the data obtained from the study by tabulating the data
obtained through the description of the respondent, then look for the frequency and
percentage. Once it is established in a single table and explained using a Likert scale
measurement. Likert scale is used to measure the perceptions, attitudes and
participation of a person or group of people about the phenomenon sosial.jumlah
population in this study amounted to 196 people. Sampling method in this study was
10% of the total population, which is 10% x 196 = 19.6 rounded up to 20 people with
HIV and AIDS (ODHA) are female and of childbearing age is the age of 20-49
years.
To formulate the conclusion of the study, in particular identifying the
response, the authors use a Likert scale used to measure attitudes, perceptions and
participation of a person about his or her group, or a group of people related to the
case. This research subjects exposed to positive and negative statements through
statements agree, disagree, and disagree.
