Prostitution or prostitution is a profession that is very old age, as old as human life
itself. Prostitution is derived from the Latin pro-stituere or pro-stauree, who allow themselves
to commit adultery, do whoredom, fornication, and pergendakan. Prostitution or prostitution
is one form of social ills that must be stopped spreading, without neglecting prevention and
repair.
This research was conducted at the institute Concerned Women prostituted Field
(P3M) located on Jl. Setia Budi Housing Ambasador No. 107 Market II Medan Tanjung Sari.
This study is descriptive, where informants in this study is the main commercial sex workers
in the Inn Cibulan which is one of the beneficiary institutions Concerned Women prostituted
Field (P3M) for four people and a Key informant is director / program coordinator of
Concerned Women prostituted field. Data collection techniques with library research, field
studies, in-depth interviews and observation. The data obtained in the field and then analyzed
by a researcher who described Qualitative, which in turn can be deduced from the results of
these studies.
The results showed that the dominant factor affecting teens become sex workers in the
assisted Cibulan Inns Concerned Women prostituted field is the economic factor. Not only iu
course there are other factors that affect them become commercial sex workers as factors of
personality disorders, religiosity, sexual harassment / violence, family and peers.
