Respon Masyarakat dalam Pelaksanaan Program Family Development Session (FDS) di Kelurahan Timbang Deli Kecamatan Medan Amplas

Abstract

Poverty becomes a serious problem faced by Indonesia. In order to combat poverty, the Government is implementing the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH). PKH indeed significantly positive impact on the fulfillment of basic needs of the family that very poor, but can not touch the change of family mindset towards the future and increase the work ethic through family education. In this context, efforts are needed to increase knowledge for program beneficiaries, that is by implement the program of Family Development Session (FDS). The program is expected to change of family mindset for the family that very poor to live a life that is established without any further help from PKH. This research aims to investigate the response of the community in the implementation of the Family Development Session (FDS) program in the village of Timbang Deli District Medan Amplas. This research classified the type of deskripstive research, with a quantitative approach. The population is 137 KSM and 34 people that being the sample. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling technique. Data collection technique used are literature study and field study by observation, interview and questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded that the response of the community in the implementation of the Family Development Session (FDS) program in the village of Timbang Deli District Medan Amplas is positive with an average value of 0.76. It is evident from the answers of respondents were divided in 3 indicators, those are cognitive response, affective and conative with the result of cognitive (0.69), affective (0.95) and conative (0.66).
