dc.description.abstractToday the thermometer has been widely used by the public. In general, the thermometer is designed for people who have normal physical condition, especially in the ability to see. People with disabilities, especially blind people, will have difficulty in using existing thermometer. In connection with this problem, this paper describes the design of the thermometer body for those who experience limitations in viewing. In general, the thermometer body with this sound output using LM35 sensor, microcontroller ATMega8535, Regulators ISD 7805 and 2560. Measurement range of this thermometer is a temperature of 35 ° C - 41 ° C. The results show that the thermometer that has been designed to have a faster response in body temperature compared with the mercury thermometer. This thermometer response time is 1 minute with error output temperature is 0.1 ° C. Output the resulting sound is very clear. So that the tool is good enough to be used as a thermometer body.en_US
