Analisis Pengendalian Persediaan Bahan Baku Karet dengan Metode EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) (Studi Kasus: PT. Asahan Crumb Rubber)

Abstract

ABSTRACT Inventory control of rubber raw material in PT. Asahan Crumb Rubber is planned with EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method which the goal is to minimize total inventory cost and also can be fulfill demand from costumer rapidly. Inventory control also can keep the factory production continuity. Result of the research shows that the method that the factory used with purchase of the raw material, use of the raw material, ordering cost, holding cost and total of inventory cost is bigger than the EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) method. With the result is reorder point (ROP) is 353.368 kg, safety stock is 278.462 kg, total inventory cost is Rp 625.782.148,00. Proved that the optimal number of reservations to the method of EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) with inventory cost savings of Rp 344.199.416,00 of the company’s costs.
