Analysis of air quality in Medan has been done. It was done based on Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) concentration level from 2001 until 2009. And chemical elements of rainwater from 2009. The data was taken from Meteorological and Geophysical Board. Analysis of SPM concentration, i.e. Comparison between SPM level concentration and quality standard of SPM concentration (230 μgram/Nm3). Data processing was done by using software for statistics, SPSS 12.0, and the method used was simple linear Pearson correlation method. The result of SPM concentration analysis showed that the concentration of SPM in Medan was 57,56 % going up to threshold value of quality standard of SPM concentration ( 230 μgram/Nm3 by PP.No. 41, 1999) in 2009. The number of motor vehicles have enough correlation in the increasing of SPM, with a correlation coefficient r = 0,477. Rainfall has a strong correlation in the reducing of SPM, with a correlation coefficient r = - 0.824. The number of motor vehicles have enough correlation in the reducing of a acidity degree (pH) of rain, with a correlation coefficient r = -0.484. Correlation is given by analyzing correlation coefficient and determination coefficient.en_US
