dc.description.abstractWas design an instrument for detects water level and water control gates at a dam. Control gate is performed based on the level of water level. This design used 8 (eight) level to see the water level height. To be able to detect the water level, used sensor which consist of two metal plates where one plate is connected to the transistor. Transistor are used a signal conditioner by using the principle of transistor as switches. The sensor can provide a ready signal is processed in the microcontroller AT89S51. The output of this sensor be compared to the microcontroller and PC can communicate then use a serial communication link, that is RS 232 to be able to open and close the water gates in accordonce with the expected level then used stepper motors,so the door can move open and close according to the command given.en_US
