dc.description.abstractThere are many different types of gases and gas needs. One of geses that is widely used in both domestic life and industry is LPG. This gas is a colorless liquid that has sting smells. LPG is formed from amixture of hydrocarbon compounds i.e. butane and propane. The characteristic of LPG is sensitive to fires, flammable, odorless and colorless. The LPG that is marketed in public is a flammable fuel and sensitive to fire. It often causes a fire. Because of this fact, it is necessary to have a device that can detect any gas leaks. The systemof the device introduced in this research works by detecting the gas from the LPG itself. the HS133 sensor which is used in this device is working when there is gas leak in a room, the basic principle is if the gas molecul touchs sensor, it will make the resistance decline according to gas concentration and will affect the output voltage anvice versa. Sensor output will be processed by signal conditioning and the result will be converted to AD0804 circuit. The ADC output will be read by microcontroller AT89S51 and the result is displayed to the PC. The alarm will sound if the gas concentration exceeded threshold.en_US
