Cathode is a component of the Lithium Battery. Cathode material can be
synthesized by different methods, i.e. powder metallurgy. This method is simple,
but it consumes much time and energy as well. Cathode material LiFeMnNiPO4/C
was synthesized in this research using a powder of LiOH.H2O, Fe2O3, MnO2, Ni,
liquid H3PO4 and carbon as the start materials. Calcination, powder, and sintering
are steps in powder metallurgy. Variasi of sintering time and temperature had
been exercised in this reserach to get an optimum sinter condition. The phases
resulted from this method were analyzed by XRD. The size of the cathode
material was further reduced by ball milling for 3 hours or crushing manually in a
mortar and sieved 200 mesh. The powder homogenisation was analyzed by X-Ray
Diffraction (XRD) equipment. Morphology and the element content of the powder
were analyzed by SEM. Conductivity of this sheet is observed by Electrochemical
Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) equipment. showed highest conductivity, i.e. 3 x
98 103 S/cm.
