dc.description.abstractPreparation and characterization of composites based fiber fragrant pandan with epoxy resin have been done by method of random orientation with a length of fiber 4 cm, the fiber composition : 0 gr, 0,1 gr, 0,2 gr, 0,3 gr, 0,4 gr, 0,5 gr. The mechanical properties and physical properties of composite were obtained as tensile strength 52,26 MPa, flexural strength 49,74 MPa, strong impact 30,6 kj/mm2 , density 1,07 gr/cm3 and rate of water 2,05 %. The results showed mechanical properties and physical properties are almost the same as the Standard JIS A 5905 :2003 such as tensile strength >0,4 MPa,flexural strength >32 MPa,density 1,07 – 1,3 gr/cm 3 and rate of water 5-13% It means the material on this reseand can be applied to outomotive car such as bumper.en_US
