dc.description.abstractThis study is aimed describe the phenomenon that occurs in a material with a negative refractive index metamaterial. The negative refractive index is obtained when the permittivity and permeability of a material is negative. By lowering the Maxwell equations of Electromagnetic Waves will create equal permittivity and permeability can be connected with a refractive index that is nevertheless found that the refractive index is negative. Furthermore, when connected to the capacitance and inductance equation will result in the circuit that has a value of permittivity and negative permeability in order to get the shape of the material. After obtaining the equations, finally simulated by the FDTD method via software Matlab R2014a. The simulation is useful to get an idea Electromagnetic wave propagation process in one application metamaterial that is invisible cloak.en_US
