Has conducted an identification of changes in the level of damage to the engine oil
by identifying changes in the dielectric constant indicated the output voltage changes
the occur in a system tool that has been designed and constructed. Capasitive
transducer is made by utilizing the conductor plate parallel to indentify changes in
the dielectric medium using sinusoidal electric wave propagation. Observations
carried out by measuring the amplitude of the wave attenuation due to the interaction
of the sample medium engine oil. Electrical waves have been generated by the
oscillator circuit using XR2206 IC with a frecuency of 50 KHz which have shown
the voltage difference of each sample of the engine oil. Tests one performed on five
samples of engine oil with an equal volume of 200 ml, among others: fresh engine
oil, a mixture of 150 ml fresh oil and 50 ml bad oil (mixture 1), a mixture of 100 ml
fresh oil and 100 ml bad oil (mixture 2), a mixture of 50 ml fresh oil and 150 ml bad
oil (mixture 3), and bad engine oil. The test results demonstrate the tool system with
voltage values 2,814; 2,856; 2,914; 2,986; 3,022 volts respectively with a rising
trend. Has obtained a higher voltage value relationship of the tool system, the higher
the degree of damage to the engine oil. Voltage changes due to changes in the
dielectric constant of each sample of the engine oil.
