    Abstract
Electrical load is used generally have inductive reactive load that caused the current wave lags behind the voltage wave. This resulted in the amount of power absorbed from the power source is greater than that used by the load, causing a loss that is not small. Power loss caused by inductive reactive load can be reduced by improving the power factor. System designed try to make a system that connects the circuit power factor is measured by a combination of capacitors that are strung in parallel. With this combination, the expected value of the corrected power factor able to approach its maximum value. Power factor is calculated by comparing the analog signal of alternating current generated by the current sensor with analog signals generated by the voltage sensor. If the analog voltage signal precedes the current analog signal, this is called the load inductive. Furthermore microcontroller will control the switching of capacitors through a relay in accordance with the results of calculations on the microcontroller. Testing is done by connecting an inductive load of TL lamps with various power, starting from 18 watts to 108 Watt power load, so the data obtained by the data of electric power saving. The amount of electric power saving varies, depending on the size of the capacitor is connected to the load. From the test results obtained that the power is successfully saved varies, where the minimum savings is 3.24% and maximum is 7.39%.
